VBS at St. Mark's - July, 2006

Vacation Bible School “Fiesta” A Wonderful Success!

St. Mark’s 7th Annual Vacation Bible School, held from July 17-20,2006, was once again a rollicking success for all those who took part. With a theme of “Fiesta! Where Kids Are Fired Up About Jesus!,” this year’s VBS attracted more than 100 children ages 3 through 14, as well as 40 other adult and teenage volunteer staff members. Just like in previous years, the majority of those attending VBS came from outside of the St. Mark’s community, making VBS one of our largest community outreach missions of the year.

Vacation Bible School would not have been successful without the generous offerings of time, talent, and treasure by so many members of the St. Mark’s family. We extend warm and special thanks to all who contributed.

VBS reminds us every year that Jesus’ teaching are for everyone and can be learned by anyone regardless of age, and can also be a tremendous amount of fun. Through the use of song, games, acting, snacks, crafts, dance, and energetic storytelling, the message of Jesus’ love once again shined upon all those who attended and left us all basking in the glory of his presence. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for helping to extend the great gift of Vacation Bible School to children in the St. Mark’s community and beyond.    Viva!
